Reasons to book your MOT now, not later.

Reasons to Book Your MOT:
Even with the MOT extension announced earlier this year, The Workshop and Restoration Centre on site at the Museum are advising drivers to not put off booking their MOT. Call 01963 442790 or email workshop@himm.co.uk to make an enquiry.
advisories on your MOT certificate last year
Sometimes advisories, especially minor ones are forgotten about once the MOT has been passed. If you had any advisories on your MOT certificate last year and have not had them seen to, you are most likely driving a car that is unfit for the road.
putting off problems with Windscreen, Wipers, Tyres, Lights or Brakes
These may seem like minor issues or annoyances, but the above can cause problems with road handling, obstructing driver vision and overall safety. These problems are usually quick to fix meaning confidence in your car can be quickly restored.
unsure that your car is safe
During lockdown it’s likely your car has had minimal use and driving again may have highlighted some issues large or small that you are worried about. The MOT extension statement on the Gov UK website states that vehicles must be 'kept in a roadworthy condition', and those found at the controls of unsafe motors can be prosecuted. With fines of up to £2,500 it is sensible to get your car looked at sooner rather than later.
avoiding your car breaking down
There are few things more stressful and inconvenient than your car breaking down. A number of breakdowns are avoidable. Keeping up with MOT’s, with regular servicing and repair can help to prevent breakdown or even car accidents.
