De Lorean revisited
The Curator recently had the pleasure of seeing a visitor he first met back in August 2014. Harri Downey takes a keen interest in most things from the 1980s including our 1981 De Lorean DMC 12 and was visiting the Museum again with his mother, Vanessa. Bearing in mind Harri was born in the new Millennium, his take on this decade is refreshing and interesting. When asked why he is so keen on the DMC 12 Harri said he feels the car has personality and character. While the car was far from commercially successful back in its day, Harri makes a good point as in recent years this car has become increasingly popular with collectors and enthusiasts alike. We look forward to seeing Harri and Vanessa again and thank them for their ongoing support and enthusiasm for the Museum and its collection. The De Lorean DMC 12 is on display in ‘The American Dream’.
