Join our Volunteer, Mike Taylor, every Thursday in April as he talks about Formula 1 and its hidden battles.
The F1 World Championship is a competition between drivers and teams, but there is another battle behind the scenes. Primarily for safety reasons, the FIA try to limit the speed of the F1 cars, however, the teams are continually developing the cars to go faster. This battle between the teams and the FIA plays out across a number of areas. In these talks, Mike will be discussing 3 of these areas; aerodynamics, tyres and driver aids, as well as exploring the differences in F1 cars from the mid-70s to the present day.
The talks are approximately half an hour and will be at held 11:30am and 2pm. On arrival, head to reception and our team will direct you to where the talks are being held. All Volunteer talks are included in Museum entry.
