More Facilities

Wheelchair & Disabled Access

We have excellent disabled access and facilities throughout the Museum and grounds. Please see our Access Statement for further information.

Wheelchair & Mobility Scooter Hire

Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are free to use during your visit, however, we would ask for a voluntary minimum donation of £5 towards the upkeep and maintenance to help us continue being able to offer them to visitors. To avoid disappointment we recommend pre-booking these by calling 01963 440804.

Baby Changing

We have baby changing facilities in the Reception area and within the Museum.

Picnic Areas

We have a picnic area located by our outdoor play area. Please note picnics cannot be consumed in the café.

Car Parking

There are dedicated parking bays in the car park for blue badge holders. We have ample space including overflow, for larger vehicles including coaches and motorhomes.

First Aid

We have several first aid points across the site.

Dog Walking Area

Located on the field opposite the overflow car parking area to the rear of the building. Please help us to keep this area clean and safe for children to play by clearing up after your dog. Only Guide and Assistance Dogs can come into the Museum, unfortunately we do not allow pets.

Electric Vehicle Charging

We have 4 electric vehicle charging points located to the side of the Museum in our new car park. There are 8 sockets available, all 7kW. You can use the Pod Point App to find out more about each charging point.
