Key Stage 3 & 4
Discover a world of automotive design and technology from the very earliest of cars to Formula 1.
Our volunteers will guide your group around the museum looking at some of the most significant cars in the collection and the people behind them as well as the influence motorsport has and continues to have on everyday motoring.
Students will then work in small teams to create a ‘rocket’ car (air powered) to see which vehicle can travel the farthest distance without breaking apart!
Using construction bricks this friendly competition tests their creative design ideas and skills in balancing lightness with strength.
Along the way there will be opportunities to sit in some cars for fun photographs.
Your day with us will also have free time for your own activities and exploration.
We’re able to welcome group sizes from 5 to 40 children.
